Tyro and Tilly

Tyro was the daughter of Salmoneus and Alcidice. Her mother died shortly after her birth. Tyro had no sisters and no playmates. Her only confidante was a cow named Tilly. One day Tyro had to fess up that her father had planned a big dinner party with Tilly on the menu. Because the cow didn't know what a menu was, Tyro visually explained what was going to happen.

After a while Tilly figured out that her best friend was to be dished up as beef and felt miserable and sick. Fortunately cows are not known for their speed of understanding…
