Joep is a Dutch visual artist renowned for exploring themes of banality and seduction in his work, which is characterized as postmodern and camp. Following his studies at the Academy of Visual Arts in Rotterdam, he gained recognition for his watercolours and photographs. Joep is acclaimed for infusing kitsch into 'Art with a capital A', aligning his creations with the postmodernism movement, akin to Andy Warhol's works.
