Nymphs and Satyrs

Satyrs were nature creatures. They had ponytails and goat's feet. Satyrs let instinct prevail over reason, anarchy over order, ecstasy over asceticism, abundance over temperance. They were especially known for seducing youngsters, nymphs and goats.
They were not loved by the general public. Often Satyrs had to flee from the mob. Sometimes they were molested and mutilated. They were comforted and cared for by special nymphs called maenads…
