Niobe
Niobe was married to King Amphion. She bore him two sons and two daughters. Niobe boasted of her four children to the goddess Leto who only had two children: the twins Apollo and Artemis. With arrows Artemis killed Niobe's daughters and Apollo killed Niobe's sons.
Overwhelmed by grief, Niobe fled to Mount Sipylus and petrified…
