Medea

Medea was an Oriental princes. She was the helper-maiden of Jason in his search for the Golden Fleece. Out of love she used her magic to save his life. Once he finished his quest, she had to abandon her native home of Colchis and fled with Jason to Corinth where they got married and had two sons.

After ten years of marriage, Jason abandoned her to wed king Creon's daughter Creusa to later on become king of Corinth. Medea and her sons by Jason were banished from Corinth. In revenge, Medea murdered Creusa and her father with poisoned gifts. Then she killed both her children with a knife…
