Hermione was the daughter of Helen who was the cause of the Trojan war because of her astounding beauty. Helen married a famous Greek warrior. Her daughter planned to marry a hero too, although she could only pride herself on her mother’s fame.
When Hermione couldn’t capture a hero, she complained to Zeus, chief god of the Greeks, about her misfortune. He was annoyed by her hubris. The next day he indeed sent her a great warrior, but a perished one. After which he sent her to her hero...
