Erato

Erato was a dryad, a tree nymph. She was the priestess and prophetess of the god Pan. Verses were dedicated to her at an oracle located near Megapolis.

A tree nymph was born when a tree germinated. She was dedicated to the tree. She took care of him for as long as he lived, and when the tree died, she died with him. Some trees can become thousand years old and so can dryads.
