Vimeo was apparently in a hurry to ban The Girl Myth from her platform because only two minutes later this email arrived:
18.22 hr
'Dear thegirlmyth.net,

The video does not convey any "sexual stimulation". It distinctly depicts a tragic tale of unrequited love between a teacher (Sappho, the poet from Lesbos) and a student (Atthis). The student clearly spurns the advances, signaling with her hands in denial, leaving her would-be lover in a state of despair.
Vimeo appears to show bias against LGBTIQ+ content, which is concerning given that the content in question is not sexually explicit. This suggests a problem of intolerance and discrimination. While the Netherlands legally prohibits anti-LGBTIQ+ actions, it seems this is not the case in New York.
(However, it's important to note that both federal and state laws in New York do prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity in various areas.)
So bye-bye Vimeo.
Click the still for the challenged video.
