Anticleia

Anticleia grew up in a poverty-stricken family from Meteora. Out of devotion and to get something to eat, she often visited the surrounding monasteries. One day she stole a gold candle holder. Because she was naked, she had nowhere to hide the candlestick.

During her flight she was caught by an observant monk and had to appear before the tribunal. She was punished with excommunication, so she died of malnutrition...
