Aglais
Aglais was the daughter of king Tros. She was a lovely girl, so chief god Zeus wanted to have her. But Aglais was in love with a poor farmer’s son. Day and night she dreamt of her prince. She dreamt that they climbed the stairs of the palace to get married.
Zeus saw through her plan and was of the devil. He demolished a section of the stairs in order to spy on the couple. When his favourite hugged the farm kid, he sent an eagle to the palace to teach the cheeky boy a lesson.
When the eagle had flown by, Aglais awakened from her dream. Her handsome kouros had changed into an ugly beast. Broken hearted they ascended the ruined stairs and jumped into the abyss…
